Whiteboard Youth Ventures was founded five years ago with the goal of empowering high school students. Since then, we’ve worked with students from 25+ countries, funded multiple companies led by students, and our alumni have generated over $500,000 in sales.
FOCUS ON ACTION
Whiteboard Hacks focuses on getting shit done. We value your ideas but reward your action. Judges will be looking for students to show them progress on their ideas.
We know that you want to build an empire. We want you to build a lemonade stand. Show us that you can build and create value for a single customer who is willing to pay you.
HACKING THE START
You don’t need to raise money to start a business. You don’t even need to know how to code. Figure it out. And we’ll help you out along the way.
We’re built around helping you out over the long-run: it’s what we do! Come to a Whiteboard Hacks, work with our mentors, meet new friends and teammates, and become a part of our community.
CODING NOT REQUIRED
Know how to code? Great. Don’t know how to code? No problem. We’ll show how anyone can start exploring an idea.
VALIDATE YOUR IDEA
Have an idea for the next ground-break business? Use your time at Whiteboard Hacks to validate that idea– see if people actually want your business service or product before you launch.
MAKE YOUR OWN TEAMS
Work by yourself, with your friends, or meet new teammates on the day of Whiteboard Hacks.
FOCUS ON MONETIZING
Businesses have to be able to translate value into sales. How will your idea generate revenue? How does the business model make money?
See what students, parents, and teachers are saying about us, and why you should attend the next Whiteboard Hacks
I’ve learned more about business in one week than in four years in high school!
More than the skills and the feedback, the relationships I have with the Whiteboard mentors make all the difference.
After working with Whiteboard Youth Ventures, I started my clothing company, sources a manufacturer overseas, built a website, and am on pace to sell over $60,000 of products this year.
This was my first opportunity to learn about the craziness of starting a company, and I loved it!
